It’s that time of the year again ,to honor all professional truck drivers for their hard work in one of the most demanding and vital jobs. The nation’s 3.5 million truck drivers have played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic. Matrix Inc would like to take the time to honor them during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, being held September 13 – 19, 2020. Most importantly, these professional men and women not only deliver our goods safely, securely, and on time, they also keep our highways safe.
Americans in all fifty states have taken extraordinary steps to show their appreciation for the important work that professional truck drivers have done.Throughout the pandemic situation, we’ve heard drivers described as heroes. It can remind us of the ,,good old times’’ when truckers were seen as the highway knights. From children passing out lunches, to “I Heart Truck” signs across America’s highways, the public has taken notice of the essential role truck drivers play in their lives.
In case you are wondering how to thank a truck driver, Matrix’s team gives you 5 simple ways to do it :
1. BE COURTEOUS ON THE ROAD.
The absolute best way you can thank a trucker is by showing them courtesy on the road. Choose to be patient!Don’t be that motorist on the road that puts a trucker in a dangerous situation , just because you are in a hurry. Leaving space is by far the best way you can thank a trucker!
2. POST YOUR THANKS ON SOCIAL MEDIA WITH #THANKATRUCKER.

3. PRAY FOR A TRUCKER.
More than likely you will see a trucker during the next few days. Make it a point to pray for the first trucker you see each time you get in your car.
4. BUY A TRUCKER A MEAL
The next time you are at a rest stop or gas station, thank a trucker for their work and offer to buy him or her a meal .Another way is by secretly taping your gift card with a thank you note onto a semi-truck fuel pump. Random acts of kindness can be done for truck drivers too!
