KeepTruckin recently launched the Smart Load Board, a freight matching solution designed to help carriers find the right loads faster. KeepTruckin said that it has partnered with several national brokers that will help drive the new service by providing thousands of exclusive loads.
Matrix, Inc is happy to announce that KeepTrucking has officially launched their Smart Board on October 6th. We have worked with this platform for years. As a carrier, we clearly see the benefit of their new implementation. It aggregates thousands of loads from industry-leading brokers and surfaces them directly in KeepTruckin’s platform. The Smart Load Board also has book now and bidding features on the platform. The KeepTruckin Fleet Dashboard and Driver App will have the freight matching service embedded into it.
About KeepTrucking
KeepTruckin is the leader in fleet management technology. Their modern hardware and cloud-based software help companies improve the safety and efficiency of their operations. With one platform that spans driver safety and dashcams, Electronic Logging Device (ELD) compliance, GPS tracking and asset tracking, and dispatch, KeepTruckin provides an integrated fleet management system that scales to meet the needs of their 70,000 customers, from small trucking companies to Fortune 500 enterprises. Now it is adding freight matching to those offerings.
“KeepTruckin was founded with a clear mission — to improve the safety and efficiency of the trucking industry,” said Shoaib Makani, CEO of KeepTruckin. “Over the past seven years, we have built the largest network of connected trucks in North America, giving KeepTruckin the unique opportunity to change the way freight is moved. The Smart Load Board is the first and only ELD-based freight marketplace that automatically matches loads based on a deep understanding of a carrier’s needs and preferences. The Smart Load Board will revolutionize the way trucking companies dispatch their drivers, reducing empty miles and improving their bottom line as a result.”
First participating brokers
Some of Matrix’s business partners are the first participating brokers to post their loads to the platform. Such as : Echo Global Logistics, Uber Freight, Convoy, Edge Logistics, Bennett, Epes Logistics, Page Trucking, Keller Freight Solutions and Parade. Carriers moving loads for these partners can choose to share their KeepTruckin location data. This will allow the brokerage to access it specifically for the duration of the load being moved.
“At Echo Global Logistics we are always looking for ways to expand our digital network and simplify the way we interact with our carrier partners,” said Dave Menzel, president and chief operating officer at Echo. “We are excited to partner with KeepTruckin’s Smart Load Board, as it will allow Echo to continue to increase our access to capacity for our shippers.”
Trucking companies with brokerage divisions can also use the Smart Load Board to access capacity from KeepTruckin’s network. “KeepTruckin continues to remain carrier-first with the launch of the Smart Load Board,” said Tim Hadden, CIO of Bennett. “Accessing capacity from their network —in a manner that is secure — will only help to grow Bennett’s business. We feel extremely confident with the steps they’ve taken to ensure our data is protected, and is only shared with the third-parties we proactively choose to share it with.”
Smart Load Board allows drivers to know exactly who is tracking them with its freight visibility integrations.
The service can provide users with information like pickup and dropoff times, rate, commodity and weight. It can also provide data such as where carriers are driving and the routes they run:
“Pickup and dropoff times, rate, commodity and weight are required on all load posts so that carriers can make informed decisions without placing endless phone calls,” Shahi said. “Last but not least, our continued commitment to data privacy: our carriers decide if, when and how their data is to be shared with third parties.”
